The touristic city of Porec is a well known holiday destination on Istria for many tourists. The city is nearly 2000 years old and is situated directly on the Adriatic Sea. Porec has an historic city centre and a beautiful boulevard. The Roman and Venetian buildings are still in very good condition here. The Basilica of Euphrasius dated from the 6th century AD is the most famous building of Porec. If you would like to see what the city walls of Porec would have looked like in the 12th century then visit the nearby town of Dubrovnik where the walls are still intact.
